Hednesford Motorcycle Club Est’ 1973 Back in 1973 a group
of enthusiasts came together and formed the Hednesford Motor cycle Club. For a
while the club prospered, the chase rally (Chasewater) ran for 5 years. This was
one of the clubs notable achievements. But like most clubs of the period
interest waned and the club folded. Then in 1987 a small group of now older and
wiser former members decided to have a go at resurrecting it as a “ Classic bike
club”, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes the club prospered . It was soon
realised however that the classic bias was deterring potential members and
although there was (and still is) a strong classic element with in the club the
classic designation was dropped. The club now caters for old, new, big and small
bikes of every make. Not just the bikes. Members of the club all so became of
all ages, Boring old farts to young blades with more than a sprinkling of the
fairer sex to try and keep them in check. Although originally based at the cross
keys pub in Hednesford the club has had several venues and now meet at the
Victoria W.M.C Church Hill, Hednesford, every
Wednesday from 8.30pm onwards. The
chase rally was never rekindled so a new rally name came with a new rally site
on Cannock Chase, Stags'n'Slags with the trees on one side with the deer or
Stags. On the other side the Slag heap of the late and now gone pit. The rally
site as now moved to a FARM SITE NEAR LICHFIELD where we cater for over 300
bikers every year at the Stags’n’Slags. (2004 ) 450 bikers Turn up for our 10th
year. The Stags move the rally again in 2005. But a last the place is now up for
sale. So till the new owner move in the 2008 rally is on hold.
The club provides marshal to help run the B.M.F show and the Tailend Show
at Peterborough We furnish a club stand at the Stafford classic bike show made
up of the rare bikes of the members In addition to the above are club runs
catering for old and new bikes, charity events, camping weekends, rallies and
club visits. We welcome rally and Party invites to
